The Signal Radio story goes back more than twenty five years. Behind the scenes, applications, consultations & public meetings took place to secure the licence to broadcast to Staffordshire & Cheshire.
On the 5th September 1983 the station was born. Neil Diamond's hit Beautiful Noise was the first record played by John Evington as the station launched.
Over the years Signal Radio has been at the heart of events throughout the area, helping countless charities, businesses and organisations.

Help A Signal Child
Over the past twenty five years our Help A Signal Child Appeal has provided individuals and organisations with funding
raised with your help.
From our Walkathon to Auction weekends, thousands of pounds have been raised. In this special years we have £25,000
to donate to good causes.
Grants for 2008 have now been allocated. Keep listening to Signal 1 & 2 for details of 2009 events to raise even more money to donate next year to children and children's organisations across Staffordshire & Cheshire
